Beginning April 28, 2016 guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can purchase a ticket to Disney After Hours at the Magic Kingdom. The cost is $149 per person.
How it works:
This event is similar to Extra Magic Hours except that it's now a hard ticket event. It also includes a few additional perks. Disney veterans might recall the former E-Ride Nights where guests paid extra to be in the park with fewer crowds. I loved when they did that, it was like having the park to all to yourself!
Check in for the event begins at the Magic Kingdom entrance beginning at 7:00 pm on event nights. The park will close to guests who haven't purchased the Disney After Hours event tickets but remain open just for those who have tickets to the event.
Disney After Hours events begin at:
- 10:00 PM on April 28 and May 5, 2016
- 11:00 PM on April 14 and 21, and May 8, 12 and 19, 2016
What you can expect
With fewer guests in the park, wait times for attractions will be less for many of the most popular attractions. . The Magic Kingdom will remain open for an additional 3 hours after the park closes just for guests who purchased Disney After Hours tickets.
Popular attractions will be operating such as:
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Space Mountain
- Splash Mountain
- Seven Dwarf's Mine Train
- Character meet and greets
- Princess Fairytale Hall
- Peter Pan's Flight
Included in the price of admission are ice cream treats, bottled soft drinks and water, Star Bucks Coffee, and select menu items Casey's Corner - I'm guessing hot dogs and fries will be available.
