Remy, the star rat in Disney's Ratatouille film once made appearances at Chefs de France in Epcot. Disney even named their flagship restaurant on the Disney Cruise Line fleet after him! Following that tradition of rodent-inspired restaurants (I'm looking at you Chef Mickey's), PizzeRizzo will open in Muppets Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Nov. 18, 2016. The theme is inspired by Rizzo the Rat as well as his extended family and friends who have infested (oops I mean, visited) PizzeRizzo over the years.
Entrees are served with a side Caesar salad, and include personal-sized Pizza Pies, available in four varieties—vegetable, pepperoni, meat lovers and cheese, as well as a Meatball Sub. And, for Guests wanting a lighter option, the Antipasto Salad features a bed of Romaine lettuce piled high with tomatoes, Mozzarella, Kalamata olives, ham, pepperoni, salami and Balsamic Vinaigrette.
Dessert includes traditional Italian sweets like Cannoli and Tiramisu. Specialty drinks will also be available, including a non-alcoholic Peach Bellini, and a Wildberry-Basil Lemonade Limoncello in addition to beer and wine for adults.
With the exception of Via Napoli, pizza at Walt Disney World is of the theme park variety and not necessarily that of a genuine pizzeria. In short, it's usually not that great. I'd welcome any reviews of PizzeRizzo here on the blog.
