Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, a Disney Moderate Resort, celebrates the spirit of tropical locales – from the legacy of colonial forts and architecture to lively markets, exotic birds and relaxing strolls on the sand. Each island complex is bright, airy and colorful with access to a 45-acre lake and sandy beaches.
This Resort is Undergoing Refurbishment
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has a whopping 2,112 guest rooms, one of the largest hotels on property. Rooms can accommodate 4 guests plus one child up to age 3 in a crib with 2 queen beds. During a recent refurbishment, some rooms now have a pull-down bed, ideal for a child up to age 9. These rooms can sleep 5 people plus one child up to age 3.
Caribbean Beach is one of the most popular Moderate resorts on property and among the first to sell out. This is largely because it's the entry-level Moderate - the crossover resort between the Value and Moderate categories. This was the first Moderate Resort and so a few mistakes were made here - such as the layout of the property which makes no sense.
The furthest rooms away from the pool and food court are the least desirable among guests. Recently the decor in these rooms was reimagined and given Pirates of the Caribbean theme. Disney then increased the nightly rate for these rooms hoping to make the least desirable rooms, desirable. Is it worth it? No - unless you have a vehicle with you, you will have a 15 minute walk to the pool and food court - and you'll be paying more for it!

There are 7 heated pools scattered around the resort. The main pool is Fuentes del Morro Fort, a pirate-themed Spanish fortress with two waterslides and whirlpools. For little ones there's aquatic play area and playground. There's also fishing, an arcade and Disney movies under the stars - offered most evenings.
Shutters at Old Port Royale – Dinner featuring steaks, seafood and more.
Old Port Royale Food Court – Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
Other Dining Options
Poolside snack bars and pizza delivery service.
Location and Transportation
Transportation is a bit if an issue here with no practical layout to the resort. Disney operates internal shuttles to help those with an extremely long walk to the food court and pool but it doesn't run consistently.
Complimentary bus transportation is provided to all Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is near Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
