Disney's Yacht Club Resort
Classic surroundings capture the essence of a New England yacht club at this upscale resort. Its comfy chairs, hardwood floors and shafts of sunlight streaming into a welcoming lobby invite you to linger. Here you’ll enjoy luxurious accommodations as well as delightful amenities shared with Disney’s Beach Club Resort — a sandbottom pool, health club, and full service marina. There’s even a promenade with direct access to Epcot as well as the unique shops and restaurants at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort.
Yacht Club is has 621 nicely appointed guestrooms. It's sometimes overlooked compared to its sister resort, Beach Club but this can be used to your advantage: Yacht Club often has more rooms allocated to special offers than other Deluxe hotels.
Room configurations at Yacht Club can be a bit confusing: the majority of standard rooms comes with 2 queen beds and a daybed. However some rooms have 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed, and 1 daybed. Other rooms have two queens only - no daybed, and some have a king bed without a daybed. Disney will assign a room based on your party size but if you have a preference, you can make a room request for the configuration of your choice. Just note that room requests cannot be guaranteed. The vast majority of rooms can sleep up to 5 people plus one child up to age three in a crib.
Standard View rooms are the most economical and offer views of gardens, woods, or possibly a rooftop. Water or Pool View promise a view of Crescent Lake or the pool complex and come at a slightly higher rate. You don't get to choose pool or lake view but a word of caution - the pool complex can be noisy during the day.
There are some very nice suites at Yacht Club. Junior and Presidential suites are offered as well others but a little known secret are the Turret Suites - they can sleep up to 8 people, come with Club Level access, and have plenty of room for a large family. Splitting the cost between two families and getting some special VIP treatment could be a lot of fun and a unique experience.
